Types of Contracting Opportunities:
Professional Services: Regional San is involved with the planning, design and construction of interceptor pipelines, pump stations and wastewater treatment plant facilities. Opportunities also exist in areas related to regulatory requirements associated with the operation of both interceptor and treatment plant facilities.
Construction: Regional San provides construction opportunities for projects involving capital expansions to interceptor and treatment plant facilities, as well as repair, rehabilitation and replacement projects for pump stations and treatment facilities.
Contractors/sub-contractors and consultants/sub-consultants conducting business with the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (Regional San) and bidding on public works projects must register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) before working on a Regional San project. Over the next few years, contractors will be hired for a variety of treatment plant upgrade projects through several construction contracts expected to range in value from less than $10 million to more than $400 million.
The combined construction value of all projects is estimated at more than $1 billion. The projects are expected to include a number of wastewater treatment processes, pumping stations, site improvements, electrical and control systems, supporting infrastructure and major excavations.
