The Sacramento Constructed Wetlands Demonstration Project was a
five-year project conducted from January 1994 to December 1998.
The emphasis of the project was on describing how treatment
wetlands help remove trace metals.
Objectives of the project were to:
- Monitor, analyze and describe how treatment wetlands improve
water quality
- Identify what happens to trace metals within treatment
wetlands
- Develop and evaluate treatment wetlands management methods
with emphasis on:
- Vegetation and Biota
- Wetland Habitat Management
- Hydraulic Management
- Vegetation Management
- Vector and Pest Control
- Water Quality
- Sediment Quality
- Hydraulic Monitoring
