Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant

Our treatment plant facility is located near Elk Grove, east of the Sacramento River. The plant offers public tours by reservation.

Directions

Please allow about 30 minutes of driving time from downtown Sacramento.

From Interstate 5:

Exit at Laguna Boulevard or Cosumnes River Boulevard and proceed east to Franklin Boulevard. From Laguna Boulevard, turn left on Franklin Boulevard. From Cosumnes River Boulevard, turn right on Franklin Boulevard . . .

From State Highway 99:

Exit at Laguna Boulevard/Bond Road and proceed west to Franklin Boulevard. Turn right onto Franklin Boulevard . . .

Then, from Franklin Boulevard:

Proceed to the entrance at Sims Road. Head west on Sims Road and go over the railroad tracks to a stop sign. Turn right onto Laguna Station Road. Follow the road to the treatment plant’s security kiosk. Park in the visitor parking area by the flagpole.
